I only can recommend to dig into John Behr's most recent book ("In Accordance with the Scripture") and its 2006 'predecessor' ("On the Mystery of Christ") if you want to read and learn more about his way of theologising.
And obviously to start reading the Church Fathers (in small bits and pieces) along this journey...
